MINISTRIES SUNDAY WORSHIP
On Sunday Mornings at 10:30, New Heights Baptist Church loves to come together as a church family to worship the God of the Bible. The preaching of God’s word holds the primary position of Sunday worship. Paul reminds the church that faith only comes from hearing the “word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). Every week our pastor prayerfully and passionately prepares and delivers sermons to exalt Christ and exhort His followers.
Christians are singing people, and the Scriptures exhort us to sing “psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs” to worship our God and encourage one another (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16). Sunday mornings are a wonderful time of singing choruses and hymns to the God of our salvation. Sunday morning worship is also a wonderful time for prayer, Scripture reading, giving, and corporate fellowship. Please come and join us!
There is a nursery available during Sunday School and Sunday worship. Also, during corporate worship, there is a separate worship opportunity for children in grades K-3. SUNDAY SCHOOL & DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
The Sunday School classes of New Heights meet at 9:15 a.m. and they are vital to the spiritual health of each individual and our church body. These classes are devoted to deeply studying God’s word and intimately connecting with other people from our church. We have Sunday School classes available for every age group.
On Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m., our adults gather to study different topics. This hour focuses on specific areas of theology, church history, world missions, world religions and cults, etc. There are also different opportunities for youth and children during this time. OTHER MINISTRIES
New Heights Baptist church has wonderful youth and children’s ministries. Our youth love studying God’s word and fellowshipping with one another. Training our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord is important to us. From children’s Sunday School classes, to children’s church, to Vacation Bible School we want your children to love Jesus Christ! MINISTRY OPPORTUNTIES
There are a vast array of opportunities available for you and your family here at New Heights. We have a growing passion for evangelism and community outreach, and we would love for you to be a part of sharing the gospel with our community. Our music ministry is growing and we need solo vocalists, choir members, instrumentalists, etc. Others skilled in sound, lighting, and computers may be interested in our media ministry. Ministry opportunities for men and women abound here at New Heights!!!
ACTIVITIES
Our church provides many opportunities throughout the year that are intended for our entire church family. Every Wednesday evening we meet at 5:30 to share a meal together that is followed by prayer and Bible study. Also we host picnics, health clinics, monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations, sporting events, and retreats.
Most of our events are age graded. Our youth participate in regularly scheduled activities that include mission trips, bowling, skating, amusement parks, movie nights, concerts, conferences, and an annual retreat in Florida. Most of these are associated with Bible study or service projects.
Our children’s ministry provides several events throughout the year. Our Halloween alternative called Octoberfest is a safe, fun, Christian-based option for our community. We also provide back-to-school celebration and distribution of school supplies. Christmas, Easter and other holidays have appropriate activities for our children.
The Senior Adults of our church meet regularly for events here or travel to area sites of interest. These trips usually include Gatlinburg, Nashville, and many places around the central Kentucky area.
