Sunday School

“Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.” – Psalm 111:2

The adult Sunday School classes of New Heights meet at 9:30 a.m. and they are vital to the spiritual health of each individual and our church body.  These classes are devoted to deeply studying God’s word, theology, and ministry with the purpose of equipping our members for the work of ministry and for building up the body of Christ (Eph 4:12).

Our Sunday School hour is styled as lectures where the teacher seeks to communicate truth while encouraging feedback. Different courses are taught on a quarterly basis and are open for anyone to attend.

The Doctrine of the Church
Have you ever wondered what the Church is? Or, maybe you have wondered why we have things like church membership, church discipline and the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. If so, this class will answer these questions specifically, looking at what the Bible itself has to say about the Church and its importance in the life of a Christian.

Apr 8 – Jun 24

Christian Beliefs
This class will consider basic doctrinal questions of the Christian faith like: What is the Bible?, What is the Trinity? and What is Election?

Colossians
This class will take an in depth look at the book of Colossians seeking to understand its theological significance and practical implications for today.
